Thanks to quarantined life it’s now available for free (through to next weekend) and it’s a work of art, featuring an incredible soundtrack that we spent many a weeks rinsing last summer – Bad Boys by Connan Mockasin being a particularly favourite.
A collaborative film from record label Mexican Summer and surf brand Pilgrim Surf + Supply. It follows musicians and pro-surfers as they venture on sound and surf journeys that conjure a surreal and serene symbiosis of music, the environment, and local culture.
Shot across Mexico, the Maldives, and Iceland in three separate vignettes, the film is poetically narrated by the legendary avant-garde filmmaker Jonas Mekas, one of his last recorded testaments before he sadly passed.
Featuring the likes of Steph Gilmore, Ryan Burch, Creed McTaggart, Beau Foster Kassia Meador and plenty more.
