Barney Page is skating across the U.K.

On May 14, 2019, Ben Raemers tragically passed away at the age of 28. The Ben Raemers Foundation was established soon after, focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. They aim to provide the skateboarding community with resources that develop the skills and tools needed to support each other and understand and address mental health.

To help raise funding for the organization, Ben’s good friend Barney Page announced he’ll be skating from one end of the U.K. to the other. Leaving from John o’ Groats, Scotland, this most recent 25th of September, he’ll be spending the next 25 days making his way to Land’s End, Cornwall. Covering a total of 941 miles over his time.

“PLEASE FOLLOW THE GO FUND ME LINK IN MY PROFILE TO DONATE NOW,” he writes. “NO MATTER THE AMOUNT, ANY DONATIONS WILL HELP MASSIVELY! If you could please help spread the word by reposting the animation and push people in the direction of the go fund me link via your social channels it would be greatly appreciated. Anyone that wishes to take part in pushing some miles with me are more than welcome. DM me if interested!!”

“Thank you dearly kind ones. LETS PUSH FOR THE PEOPLE!”

You can follow his page for updates here (41 miles down just today!) and donate to his GoFundMe here. If you find yourself in his area, too, feel free to join him for a few miles. It’s for a wonderful cause.
