After Time explores the dynamics of Britain’s broken prison system, and the challenges of reintegration.

Commissioned by Kestrel Theatre Company, who work creatively within the criminal justice system, facilitating original pieces of work in theatre and film, Dorothy Allen-Pickard‘s candid documentary offers former prisoners the opportunity to speak about the consequences of living with a criminal record.

The film presents a unique insight into the unjust and inhumane nature of the criminal justice system and the stigma attached to those pursuing a fresh start in society.
