This time round Scottish legend John Rattray opens up about his life in skateboarding, the mental health challenges he faced being pro and the depression he experienced after losing family members to alcoholism and suicide.
Due to his experiences John created Why So Sad? in 2017, an ongoing exploration into the nature of mental health. Rather than a charity, Why So Sad? acts as a storytelling platform that approaches a serious subject through a lighthearted play on skateboarding’s language. You can find out more here.
