After filming together for Through the Pines in 2017, it was a delight to have Beeg back in the neighborhood in October for our favorite shit-show of the year. Although, as much as we like Coolin at night, Hossegor ended up living to its reputation: The whole town filled with agressive professional and non-professional wave riders all rocking logos the size of their egos in the water, and people in expensive cars not being able to indicate on land… The decision to bail was quickly executed, and instead, we opted to rend a little Cabin up North, and settled our camp for 10 days…. (ring a bell?)
Despite Beeg suffering a post Waco knee injury, the vibes displayed at any given hour of the day or night by the young South African were as strong as ever, dominating both in the kitchen & on all dance-floors, from Hossegor, to Amsterdam and Rome… Truly the baddest Beeg we have ever encountered! But we won’t spoil the fun just yet as there’s more to come in our next issue… if it ever happens.
Anyways. A few weeks ago, BG announced his new partnership, having just signed with Byron Bay label Banks Journal. After a quick welcome clip, Brendon just released a lengthier cut of the footage, featuring some of his recent travels including Australia, South Africa, and if we’re right, some bits and pieces from our favorite European surf mecca: the beautiful land of the bocks. The said video called “Journal Entry Vol.2 “ is now available for viewing, and we highly suggest diving right into it…
