We’re big fans of Biarritz local Margaux Arramon-Tucoo.

Not only for being a great surfer, but also as someone with great taste, hence her regular contribution in recent months.

From putting together 4 hours of French music for Wasted Talent FM to recommending films ranging from Japanese surfing to dying in Japan.

So naturally we’re stoked to see her new short film premiere online.

Shot entirely on Super 8mm by Matt Snelling, Royal Motel Room acts as a photographic journey of an experimental surf trip along the east coast of Australia.

Featuring accompanying sounds from Red Bean Rice, The Filthy Six & Melvin Israel, along with some quirky animations to boot, Royal Motel Room is a charming ode to Margaux’s relaxed and humble style both on and off the board.
